Author: Staff  //  Category: Home Brewing Recipes

I use to live in DeKalb and looooved beer nuggets. They basically were pieces of fried pizza dough that you dipped in pizza sauce or cheese sauce – yummy!

  3. What is the differnce in price between Beer Nuts and Deer Nuts? Beer Nuts are $1.50 per package, Deer nuts are under a Buck!

  4. Did you get them from Rosati’s? I think this recipe is similar to what you’re looking for – at least I hope it is! I know that beer nuggets are slightly sweet, so maybe this is close, but not quite it. I’ll keep looking and post whatever else I can find.
    4 c. flour
    4 tbsp. shortening
    2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. warm water
2 pkgs. yeast, dissolved together with the 1/2 c. warm water
    2 c. warm water
Use a bowl with cover. Combine liquids, add flour, shortening and salt. Mix well. Grease top of dough lightly. Put in bowl and cover. Let air out of bowl every 15-20 minutes. Let rise 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Shape dough with fingers. Put in hot grease and fry until golden brown.

  5. Not what you are looking for, but you should keep pepper jack cheese, chicken nuggets, and pepperonis handy. Just stack those together and throw them in the microwave.
