Depends on the style. The higher the alcohol content, the longer the beer will last. Similarly, the more highly hopped a beer is, the longer it will last (hops act like a preservative). However, a beer’s flavor profile will change with time – the longer it sits, the more it will change. For some beers (like barleywines) this is a good thing, for others, well, not so good. That’s why commercial beers have expiration dates (or “born on” dates) – after a while, the flavor profile changes for the worse.

If it’s done well, I’m sure it lasts the same amount of time as beer bought from the store. In any case, you shouldn’t be drinking such stuff, it’s much easier just to buy from the store…and if you are just wondering aobut doing this cause you are underage, then you might as well find a person with a fake id or something, rather than risk poisoning yourself

Most home brewed beer is naturally carbonated … beers simply won’t. ever last that long and still be drinkable.
