  5. a true black and tan is Guinness and Smithwicks. and served in a warm glass (room temp) a B&T smooth is made with Killkenny instead of smithwicks. Remind me not to go to this guys bar…

  9. Very true, but I’ve not seen Smithwicks where I live, so Bass is a substitute, but nothing like a Smithwicks with Guiness. Ah, the memories, or lack thereof.LOL. ;)

  10. It’s all preference.

    I prefer Bass over Smithwick’s. I go for taste, not tradition (unless it’s a traditional day).
