For vodka a cork will work fine. You can get wine and beer bottles from a Home Beer and Wine Supply shop locally or on-line.

I just save my bottles that I use throughout the year. Make sure they have short stout necks (longnecks will explode) I also have better luck with pop-off then twist off bottles. The necks are much more sturdy and not so thin glass. You can probably get bottle caps at the organic food store, thats where I get mine, although they are probably cheaper elsewhere. Guiness Sam adams and red stripe are the shape of bottle you wanna save. I dunno if you can ‘buy’ bottles, or where you would, but you could hang outside the redemption and offer ten cents a piece, though the redemp might not like it. Make sure you wash them out with very hot water. 180 degrees should be fine, and get yourself a scrubber.

Go to a beer distributor, where they sell by the case. You might be able to buy “returns” for the cost of the deposit. Cleaning them is a chore, though. If you know a bartender, ask him to save you the longnecks. Never use the bottles with threaded lips, though.

Try a health food store or a vitamin store–sometimes places like that carry “make your own” kits for like wine and beer, but I’m sure you could use a kit for vodka and other types.

I get the glass bottles from the recycling center absolutely free and the caps at the local homebrew store.
