You are wrong and right! They a very good for you…also they ward off cancer cells! If you consume a ton of them day after day and don’t exercise you may gain some weight.
Heres another good one I learned ( because it was happening to me ) was a sweetner sp…da was making me gain weight…its only good for dietbetics and its a shame its all over our super markets in tons of products.
So eat thoses awesome almonds lol

You can use peanut, corn, vegetable, safflower or olive oil. All work well. ~ Rita

The recipe at the end calls for mixing the sugar/salt mix coating for the almonds in a separate bowl, not the pan in which the syrup and almonds were cooked. Is one method preferred to another? I like the idea of using less dishes to clean!

Hi,
The almonds were DELICIOUS the first time, so I decided to make more right away. I doubled the almonds (4Cups) and double the rest of the ingredients. This time, the almonds were sticky and brown instead of the sugar coating. What did I do wrong?
Comment by elainelvv — October 12, 2009 @ 7:39 pm
I wasn’t sure if the almonds needed to be roasted after adding the the honey mixture.
Comment by pammyrj — October 21, 2009 @ 10:03 am
I just made them and left them to dry. The honey would probably burn if roasted any more.

No problem, u can use any oil. but dont use olive oil as Klodia says, because olive oil is smelly. use any other kind of oil.

Glad I found this, I’m going to try next time. My wife bought me the wrong almonds (just roasted and salted) and I had an empty can with a lot of honey roasted powder left over from another can. I just rinsed the almonds to get the powder to stick, sprinked the old powder on them, then broiled them for about 5 minutes. Came out pretty good but I think this will be much better

hi, why not use actual honey as a coating instead of sugar? It just seems funny that the description is honey roasted almonds and its sugar and salt? Thanks
