I think there is something wrong with my culture. It should be done today but it does not have the bubbly ring, nor does it bubble when I stir it. Is there something wrong? Please help!

I suggest a added bonus: to charge your cultures with sunlight energy. Just be carefull that it won’t cook or boil.

Can I keep adding more water, ginger, and sugar to have a continuous ginger culture like a sourdough starter?

find it better to get a new stater going by adding 1 tbsp of the old ginger to the next batch. But keeping the same culture going for over a month starts to get an off smell (other yeast and buggies getting in most likely)
It easy to just start a new batch from the old, goes faster.
Happy culturing

How much sugar do you suppose one gets when drinking a lacto fermented soda? What percent of the sugar is eaten by the culture? And I mean after you make your culture and add it to your syrup. Thanks in advance
