Howdy Youtube Friends! Well, it has come time to taste test the American Light 20 minute boil kit from Midwest Supplies we brewed a while back. Overall, it is a lightly flavored and hopped brew that is nice and easy to drink. Not heavy by any stretch of the imagination! Cheers!

@RDM003 Thanks! I can’t quite decide what I want to do next… Something lighter than the stouts I’ve been doing, but not quite as light as this one…

@rickyboy951 Haha–I understand that one. This new apartment is really close to a brew store, but they do mostly all grain stuff. I’ve only been once, but will have to go back soon–I’m out of brewing supplies as of right now! I’ll have to keep in mind the hazelnut flavoring–I love hazelnut! Cheers!

It’s hard to really give a good review of a beer that is not the style you prefer. You have to come at it totally unbiased and open minded. I normally just stay away from the pilsners and lagers because they don’t have the flavor I’m looking for. Your new pad looks nice!

@Imasofat Thanks! Yeah, this one was not my cup of tea, but was still pretty good. I’ll take a home brewed light beer over any store bought light beer any day!
Cheers!

great review, it looked nice. a good light gold color. the nut brown sounds like a good choice for your next beer.

@brewyourown4life Thanks! Yeah–my idea was to do a darker beer, but not quite as dark as the stouts and stuff I’ve been doing. I was also thinking of a possibly doing an amber ale of some sort… So many options! Cheers!

Nice vid as usual, always such a treat each time. Hope your dad appreciates the brew as I’m sure he will. I’m about to do my first all-grain, ordered the Autumn Amber Ale from Midwestsupplies, looks like it gets pretty good reviews in both partial and all-grain. Might be a bit light for you though. Nice new digs btw. Thanks again Joe.

@steeljan Thank you! I’ll be taking the final batch down to him (he lives about 5 hours away) next weekend–so we shall see! And kudos on your first all-grain–are you going to film it? I’d love to see how it turns out for you! I’m hoping to get some new equipment myself once I get some extra cash. Thanks again for your kind words! Cheers!

@terpsichoreankid I’m going to try and film it, but I’m a bit anxious, making notes, worrying, etc. If the camera work gets too tedious, I’ll just chuck it and concentrate on getting the brew right.

Joe , do an Imperial IPA lad . Make it good, hoppy and real boozy . Citrusy IPA’s are the best Good work on the vids . Cheers lad .
